BRAVO! BRAVO!

Growing up, my Grandma always carried

around with her a little photo album she called

her "brag book."  She had pictures of all her

grandkids doing cool things.  This page is our

brag book.  Please tell us about your theatre arts

accomplishements or those of other students.

Mo got an audition with Cirque du Soliel in Las Vegas!!!  GO MO!

AMY S. MADE IT TO THE ALL-STATE TECH CREW!!

Congratulations to our Seniors - this class has been the most successful group of theatre students I have ever had the pleasure of working with.  It has been a lot of hard work for them, but, after you read below you will see that it has all been worth it.

Even though it isn't theatre related, we must take up some space here to congratulate the National Sparing Champion, Rob B.  YES - NATIONAL!!!!  This is an incredible accomplishment!!  He will be traveling all over the world defending his title this summer.  We are very proud of you, Rob.  Go get 'em!

Missy L. was accepted into the Millikin University BFA in Theatre Administration program!!!!  She is the first student from MCHS that I know of to be accepted into a BFA program.  KUDOS Missy!!  You Rock!

Missy has also been volunteering at the Raue Center for the Performing Arts as a teacher in their theatre camp.  Way to go!

Bo  was encouraged to audition for the top band in the fall at her audition for a $3,000 a year scholarship on February 21, 2009.  The director mentioned that he wouldn't be surprised to see her as first chair principle flute at Monmouth College! Congratulations!

Ruth has three scholarship awards totalling over $22,000 at her first pick - Cardinal Stritch University in Milwaukee.  Two of these are talent based for theatre and music and the third is academic.  Woo Hoo!

Melissa L and Amy S just had their auditions for All State.  We are so proud of them.  Melissa reported being very nervous for it but, even though we weren't there to see her audition, we know she was FANTASTICK!  Way to go, girls!
