Attendance & Eligibility Policy

Only absences that were written on your audition sheet are excused unless you are excused absent from school due to illness/doctor visit or on a school required field trip or other event.  All other absences with prior written notice are unexcused.  Multiple unexcused absences may be grounds for dismissal or reassignment.  If no note is given in advance of an absence, it is not only unexcused but AWOL (Absent witout letter) and may be grounds for immediate dismissal from the cast or reassignment of your position on the team.

Students who are failing a class will not be permitted to participate in the performances in any capacity except for rare circumstances where a student is failing a class and still eligible.  In this instance a meeting with the director, student, parent, and teacher of the failing class may be necessary to reach a satisfactory resolution.
