From the Director:

This delightful script has been in my “must do this some day” stack for many years.  It is my hope that you will enjoy the story as much as I have enjoyed bringing it to life with these great students. The main character, Mrs. Savage, has been left ten million dollars by her husband and has hidden it from her greedy stepchildren. They commit her to a "sanatorium" hoping to get their hands on the fortune, but she leads them on a merry chase. In the sanatorium she meets various social misfits who become co-conspirators to Mrs. Savage’s plot.  The message of this play, written in 1950, is as compelling and applicable to our life today as it was then; the neglected virtues of kindness and affection have not been entirely lost in a world that seems motivated at times only by greed and dishonesty.

                                  Susan Steffan
